IGCSE art interpretive 'A day to remember'

For my IGCSE interpretive exam, I chose the title 'A day to remember', and because I had recently attended my very dear cousin brother's wedding, i chose to use their pictures in a lot of my prep work. I did a Bangladeshi wedding, because I always like to add something Asian or Bangladeshi or related to me personally because I feel that is my way if signing off my work(signature I guess). I also chose a Bangladeshi wedding because they are so festive and bright and extremely lively. I first chose a picture from each celebration in a Bangladeshi wedding(WE HAVE LOTS!!) and then tried to sketch then with color pencils and pastels (with some acrylic)(1st picture left).  Then I added some henna designs on the saree veil and I tried to contrast media to get a soft and shy feeling mixed with a loud and vibrant atmosphere(2nd picture left). I then tried to pain on picture and keep on trying different media(3rd picture right). In my final piece, I used stencils to do Asian designs in the saree veil and I put pictures of my cousin and his wife on the mind to show what she is thinking of and I did the painting in the bridal perspective. I used watercolors in the face to show her shyness and acrylic and bright colors in everything else to show the vivid and festive atmosphere(4th picture right).
